Ness 'monster' makes it into the Bible
Published 11th April 2025.
Uile-bheist Distillery and Brewery (uilebheist means 'monster' in Gaelic) has made it into the ‘bible’- well, the bible of the Whisky aficionado at least!
Heartland Media and PR is delighted to see Inverness’ first distillery in over a century and Scotland’ first ‘Brewstillery’ making the features pages of Whisky magazine - a key publication for all lovers of the ‘water of life’.
Talking of water...
Uile-bheist Distillery and Brewery is one of Scotland’s most sustainable distilleries, powered from the waters of the River Ness (see below)
Innovative
Uile-bheist uses an innovative water source heat pump to harness heat from the water drawn from the River Ness - and solar panels to generate electricity, making Uile-bheist one of the lowest carbon distilleries on the planet.
Together, these provide heating and hot water services for not just Uile-bheist brewstillery but also its neighbouring Glen Mhor hotel, apartments and Waterside Restaurant, saving an estimated 250 tonnes of carbon each year.
