Fourteen years of jumping off bridges
Published 05 June 2025.
A milestone for the ultimate leap of faith!
Fourteen years ago, the UK’s first permanent bridge bungee jump came into being, in Highland Perthshire.
They said it couldn’t be done…it was, by Highland Fling Bungee. And it's still attracting adrenaline junkies today - from all over the world.

Nearly a decade and a half on from the day Dundee band, The View (top pic) took the first 40m jump at Garry Bridge, Killicrankie, octogenarians, superheroes, brides, grooms, politicians, kilted pipers, bikers and people with myriad props have hurled themselves into the abyss at 50mph – for pleasure, for charity or just to say they could!
There have been additions to the adventure, along the way, too.
The mighty Bungee swing - Highland Swing - and the Killiecrankie Zip Park or ‘Killie Zip’ and there’s more to come… (watch this space).
World attention
And, of course, global recognition - from New York Post and Le Parisien to Polish News and United News of India.
Highland Fling officially hosted the successful Bungee Jump World Record, achieved by Frenchman, Francois-Marie Dibon, for 765 jumps in 24 hours – all expertly facilitated by the Highland Fling crew.
From Highland Perthshire to the planet!
